Another early start

Construction people seem to start work pretty early. Last time I had guessed that they sowed up around 6 am, and I was pretty much right. Today,I decided not to try to reconfirm this idea and leave before they got here. So far, so good.

I ended up sneaking in the house last night (I had originally planned to just sleep in the garage). That helped a LOT with the mosquitioes, which meant that I no longer had to use the sheet, which helped with the heat. So I ended up sleeping alright for the second half of the night, but am a little tired due to the sleepless first half.

There’s a hostile about 20 – 25 miles from here where I’m hoping I can take a shower and freshen up. So the plan is to get there, do that, and then look at the nap to see when I have to take ferries, and plan it out so I don’t miss any of them. I’m worried that I’m going to show up to take a ferry at 6:30 one niht when the last one leaves at 6, and loosing two and a half hours of good riding. I’m sure it’ll all work out though, and if not I deserve the break.

Time to hit the road!

Gah!

Its incredibly hot again. I’m trying to sleep with just my sheet but even that is making me sweat lots. And if I stick any part of my body out from under it, it instantly swells up from all the bug bites. I think tomorrow I’m going to give in and get some bug spray (something I haven’t used in probably 6 or 7 years). Hopefully the ocean breeze will help with both of these problems.
