I was almost at Statesboro, GA, where this section of my maps ends, when I passed my Mill Creek Park. its a pretty big park, and looked like it might have a pool and thus showers, so I decided to check it out.
Turns out there weren’t any showers but while I was washing up, I met Danielam who had noticed my bike outside. We talked for a few minutes and he gave me directions to where I could go grocery shopping, and then asked if I was hungry. Turns out he worked in the concession stand here and so he and the other girl working there, Pipin, hooked me up with a discout on two burgers. We talked a little more about all the comotion that had been going on around here this, since they’ve been hosting the little League’s World Series. Teams from Texas, New Jersey, and Ohio have came out for it, so I guess its been pretty crazy, but today is the last day so its only busy.
Right next to the park is a water park. I guess it costs about $9 to use, but I’m going to go see if I can just use the shower for free.
Hey Matt! Daniel here. I’m glad to read that you found a shower at our waterpark, Splash in the Boro, and you got cleaned up pretty well. We finished the World Series championship game around 3:00, but I can’t remember who won. We were too busy getting things cleaned up.
Anyway, hope things are going good for you. It began pouring down rain soon after the game ended, so I hope you found a dry place to wait the water out.
