Sleeping On The Dead

Well last night, after getting dropped back off at High Point, NJ, at 6:30 pm, I decided to ride for a short bit before it got dark. I made it a little over 12 miles before coming across this cemetery which looked like a good place to sleep. As I was falling asleep the place was filled with fireflies which was kind of neat. I then woke up several times I the night to the eeriest sounds from some of the creepiest dreams to see the who place covered in a ghostly silver lining of fog. The dreams were probably my own minds fault, but the sounds I heard were definitely real. What a creepy night.

But enough of that. Its time to start riding. If I make good enough time today, I can probably make it to a Have Heart show (they’re the other band that was on tour with the band, Hammer Bros., that I took a break from this trip to go on tour with).

Rain!

So I was walking around the streets of NJ, just seeing what was around, when I came across a 7-11, and decided to get a coke. When I came out I noticed some huge dark clouds headed my way. I high tailed it back to the library and not 30 seconds after stepping through the door a torrential down poor started up. I sure am glad I’m not riding right now!

On a side note, don’t ever get the Big Pop from 7-11. It may look like a nutless replacement for Cracker Jacks, but its just not the same.

Hanging out

Matt has work today for 10 to somewhere between 3 and 6 so I’m just hanging out till then. I’m going to do some laundry, shower, all that good stuff, and then probably wonder around a bit. Hopefully I’ll find a library or something where I can go online to check my email, pay bills, etc, and then maybe read some more of the book I’ve been working on.

When Matt gets out of work we’re going to meet up with some of his friends and go hang out in NYC. I’ll come back here after that and hang out again, and then get a ride back to where I left off so I can start up the next day. Should be a couple of fun relaxing days.
