Today will be my 20th day of riding. Its pretty crazy to think about how long that is and to far I am from home. Most of the time i’m just riding or thinling about what I’m doing at the momment, but then sometimes I realize where I actually am, and how I got here and its almost unbelievable.
This picture is of the Highwater Acadamy in Dendron, VA where I slept last night. There was a janitor here last night when I got here who I talked to, but she didn’t see me if anyone asks you.
Last night was SO hot. It was almost unbearable. I had to sleep with a sheet on because the bugs were so bad, and that only added to the problem.
I got up early this morning to try and beat some of the heat. I figure if I can get 50 miles in before 1, then it should be easy to finish the rest after the heat starts to die down. I don’t really like getting up this early, but I don’t think there’s much other choice. Hopefully it will cool off some once I hit the Outer Banks.
