All aboard!

Next stop: Miami.

OK. That’s not really the next stop, but its my next destination. I’m guessing that I’ll be getting there on Saturday, give or take a day. Planning this part of the trip took a lot effort than planing things further north because not only did we have to worry about the size roads we were on, and whether there were enough places tp stop for food and water (although I feel like I have 50 lbs. of food with me right now), but we also had to make sure I wasn’t riding through swaps for too long so I could have places to sleep. Ken and Jackie were huge helps with this last night since they know how the roads actually are instead of how they look on the map. We decided it’d be best to go back out to the coast and then ride down there instead of taking a more direct route to Miami.

I was in bed and asleep by 11 o’clock last night, but I still didn’t want to get up this morning. I slept in till almost 7:30, but was able to get ready pretty quickly since I had done most of my packing last night. Its supposed to be 95 today with the heat index at 106, so Florida is definitely giving me a “warm” welcome back.

Its about time to start riding now, so wich me luck.

Thanks again for all you help and being so hospitable Jackie and Ken!
